The Internationalpark Lower Oder Valley GmbH was founded in 1997 as a wholly owned subsidiary of National Park Foundation Lower Oder Valley founded. Your tasks are particularly in environmental education, especially in the Wilderness School and in the National Park Laboratory Teerofenbrücke and in the Brandenburg Academy Schloss Criewen — German-Polish environmental education and meeting center.
Brandenburg Academy
The Brandenburg Academy Schloss Criewen offers an extensive conference and congress program on all questions relating to rural areas. In addition to numerous in-house events, the von Arnim family’s 200-year-old manor house also offers a suitable setting for external events of all kinds, located in a beautifully restored park by Peter Joseph Lenné, right next to the national park, not far from the Schwedt border crossing and with an hourly bus connection to the train stations Schwedt and Angermünde (RE3).
Wilderness School Teerofenbrücke
The Teerofenbrücke National Park Laboratory and Wilderness School offer, especially schoolchildren, from elementary school to advanced courses in upper levels, sustainable nature experiences and high-quality environmental education. There are also children’s holiday camps, and on the weekends families and nature conservation enthusiasts have the opportunity to rent the rustic log cabins, located in the heart of the national park, surrounded by wilderness areas. The focus is on enjoying nature and the corresponding knowledge and experience. The current programs can be found on the homepage.
