The cranes are there
National Park Foundation organizes guided tours

The first cranes have arrived on their way to their winter quarters in the Lower Oder Valley. 1,500 have already been counted. On their daily way from their sleeping places in the Polish Zwischenoderland (Gartzer Polder) to their feeding places in the harvested fields west of the Oder, they can be observed well in the morning and in the evening, preferably on a guided hike, for example on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 5 p.m. The meeting point is the Eiscafe in Gartz / O., Kastanienallee 8. Dr. On behalf of the National Park Foundation, Martin Kaiser, the bird curator of the Tierpark Berlin, will once again guide interested visitors to good observation sites and give an introduction to the Unteres Oder Valley bird sanctuary and the crane migration. The tour is free, donations and prior registration are requested.

A photo of the crane procession (digitized, can be sent by e‑mail) in the Lower Oder Valley can be published, provided that the source is indicated by the National Park Foundation Unteres Odertal, 16303 Schwedt, Schloss Criewen. It can be ordered under the phone number: 03332/219822.

We would be delighted if you would draw your readers ‘or viewers’ attention to the crane procession in the Lower Oder Valley in general and to the guided tours offered in particular.

With best thanks and best regards
