Signs and wonders
Dietmar Schulze (SPD) probably never dreamed that at the end of his career he would have to work as a public relations officer in the Lower Oder Valley National Park Administration! The recently elected district administrator of the Uckermark has to work until autumn 2018 in order to receive his well-deserved pension. Eight years ago he was on leave as State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture to be elected District Administrator in Prenzlau. The only election in which Schulze had to face the will of the electorate directly, he had then lost a few weeks ago against Karina Dörk (CDU). It speaks in favor of Schulze that he now does not take sick leave, but works his eight-hour day five times a week in the national park administration in Criewen and promotes the national park to the public. He has a lot to make up for, because he has not yet been noticed as a special friend and promoter of nature conservation and the national park. But we hope for gentleness of old age and good neighbors. By the way, Schulze now also has a walk to work and no longer needs to roar through the country in his company car. So far he has never visited the Brandenburg Academy in Schloss Criewen, the National Park Foundation Unteres Odertal or even the Association of Friends of the German-Polish European National Park Unteres Odertal eV. Now we are eagerly waiting for his inaugural visit. Our doors are open to everyone.
