That is the Berlin air, air, air — air pollution control concepts in the course of social change
The Technical Instructions on Air Conditioning (TA Luft) have just been amended by the Bundestag and Bundesrat in a lengthy and complex process. There is therefore a new legal basis in Germany for air pollution control. This is the reason for us, after we dealt with pollutants in inland waters in 2020, to now turn to air pollutants. Yes, the air in Central Europe has become cleaner since the 1980s, sulfur dioxide emissions, for example, have been significantly reduced. This is more difficult with nitrogen oxides and fine dust. So there is still enough to be done.
The conference provides information on current problems and modern solutions for air pollution control, by no means only in cities and industrial areas. Pollutants in the air spread worldwide and also reach remote natural landscapes. Not only experts and scientists, especially doctors, but also all affected people, by no means just nature and environmentalists, are invited. Many people suffer from air pollutants, and many clinical pictures can be traced back to them.
